In relation to getting organized, which room or

area in your home is the scariest?

Here’s how GON Readers responded… 19% Other 17% Basement 16% Home Office 14% Garage 12% Spare Bedroom 7% Master Bedroom 6% Attic 4% Kitchen 2% Living Room 1% Kids Bedroom 1% Bathroom 1% Laundry Room Other GON Reader Comments: Closets (Many GON readers left this comment.) Craft Room, Craft Closet, Craft Supplies (Another “scary” area for many GON readers.) My craft room! I do a variety of crafts and have tons of materials. I am always on the lookout for things that I can use or repurpose, so I have a large variety of types of items. I try to keep like-things with like-things, but am not always successful, so things are always cluttered. Lanai Extra bedroom used for crafts, sewing, ironing, and storage Home office…too much paper! Crafts Corner. "Not a mess" but with creative ideas laying all over! Computer (office in one corner) twin beds in the other. The twin beds are used as staging areas when not needed for guests. Garage. You can't walk in because of my husband's tool and extra food collections. Garage…the second floor 2 1/2 car area for “storage” Den/Office with walk in closet (in a small house) I have a storage unit with boxes of old papers (mine) and items I've inherited from relatives. I know I need to go through it, but I don't know where to start. Storage Unit We actually have a room full of boxes! Office/Storage Room Quilting/Sewing Studio Garage and Basement.  These two areas are my husband's domain so it's all on him. I have offered to help clean things up but he just gets agitated and it ends up in an argument. Spare Bedroom. This room is so full that there is only a tight, single- width "canyon" through all the boxes, books, and other "stuff." I worry about what kind of animal life is occupying the lower reaches of this conglomeration! Too much paper! Bills to be paid, investments to be reviewed and filed, items to look up, Books to Read, magazines, Medicare insurance to review, tax deductibles to be saved for year end, mail, flyers…all overwhelming! Closet across from the bathroom. Trouble is, I can't keep the floor cleaned up. My home office, which is also my craft room. Den Master Closet Just moved back in, 2 years after Hurricane Laura. The living room has boxes from every room stacked almost to the ceiling. Scary! Craft room. It becomes a catch-all for everything. Room with my collection of teddy bears Office/Craft Room The spare bedroom closet! It's packed and every time I get it organized so I can access things I need, someone else tosses stuff in on top of what I need. Very frustrating; however, I do use that complaint to delay working on projects I need to do also. I'm complicated. I live in a studio apartment and have peripheral clutter around the main room, foyer, and dressing room. Dining room. I live alone and never eat there. The table displays my winter village, which I enjoy...but it was set up for Christmas...2020! The room is also a catch-all. I started to declutter the bedroom, moved non-bedroom items "temporarily" to the dining room, then never finished the bedroom. The living room and kitchen are also half-done, with "no home" items left in dining room. Long story short, I need to FINISH projects, instead of leaving half-done and starting something else. Sewing Room/Office Pantry EVERY room! Just not the attic since we don't have one! I'm sure I could fill that too, if it were available. Refrigerator and Freezer. Things slowly enter and never leave.
