How are you holding up through the global

pandemic?

Here’s how GON Readers responded… 44% I'm doing pretty good, but I've had some moments of feeling down. 35% I'm doing fine emotionally. Just looking forward to better tomorrows for others. 11% I've had many ups and downs lately. 5% I am struggling with daily frustration and/or worry. 4% Other 1% This has been devastating for me. I've lost loved ones. Other GON Reader Comments: COVID-19 hasn't really changed our lives too much. My husband and I both have physical challenges which tend to keep us pretty much house-bound, except for medical appointments and church. We are blessed to have our youngest (unmarried) son as our full-time caregiver which makes everything a lot easier. I’m using the time to do things that I usually don’t have time for, like reading books. I just want to make sure I am learning what I need to from this experience, Not interested in going through this again. Enjoying the extra time with my family, but had a major meltdown Friday afternoon working from home. Trusting God has this in His hands. I still go into work. More than 50% working from home. Others working alternating days. I feel disconnected from family and friends I've always liked to be 'home alone' and am trying to use the time to do all the catch-ups without interruptions. I do miss the opportunity to wander to the shop though. Lost my husband earlier this year from something else, already was alone and sad, this makes things even more difficult, but at least I got to be there with him when he needed me the most. I lost two family members…and a third is ill with the virus now. This has been, and continues to be, a horrible experience. I’m a nurse, working day and night. I haven’t been able to eat dinner with my family in weeks. I’m just too tired when I get home from work. I’m grateful, however, to have the opportunity to help people or comfort them in their last days in many cases. Back to Web Poll Results Index
