Top 10 rainy day chores

I don’t mind the rain at all because those are the days I get all of my odd-
jobs done around the house. Here are my top 10 favorite rainy day
chores:
1.
Weed out clothing. If I’m feeling really ambitious, and my daughter
is home, we do the same with her clothes
2.
Clean the inside of a kitchen drawer or two. If I have a plastic
organizing unit in the drawer (like a utensil organizer), I put that in
the dishwasher to clean it. Once that’s done, I declutter what I don’t
need and organize the “keepers” back in.
3.
Dispose of expired and unwanted meds and cosmetics. Check
expiration dates on OTC meds, like Tylenol and Benadryl, and
prescriptions meds as well. Cosmetics go bad too. Dispose of most
cosmetics over a year old. Mascara is only good for two to three
months at most.
4.
Launder quilts or blankets. For those too bulky, I grab a coffee
and book, and head over to the local Laundromat to use the extra-
large washers
5.
Clean all the mirrors in the house. Just go room to room with your
Windex and paper towels.
6.
Clean my jewelry. I keep jewelry cleaner in the house so I can
clean my rings and other jewelry as needed.
7.
Decorate for the season. I replace our current décor with
decorations for the next upcoming holiday or season.
8.
Make a new recipe...sometimes dessert to go with it!
9.
Dust anything up high. This may include ceiling fans, tops of
armoires, the top of the refrigerator and any other up-high places
that get dusty.
10.
Clean out the refrigerator. Remove items from one shelf at a time,
disposing of anything that’s past its prime or that you know nobody
is going to eat. Before returning the “keepers,” clean each shelf
well.
