Top 10 Things Organized People Do Before
Noon

Studies have shown that morning people typically tend to be more
organized than their night-owl friends. I'm not sure there's enough
evidence to support this, but I do know an early start and a little bit of
know-how can make each day very productive. Here’s how many
organized people often start their day.
1.
They wake up early. Most very organized people are early risers,
getting up slightly after sunrise. They also go to bed early enough to
ensure they’re getting seven or eight hours of sleep each night.
2.
They make the bed…every single morning without fail.
3.
They take the time and make the effort to eat a light, nutritious
breakfast, knowing they need the energy required to get through their
morning productively.
4.
They check, and double-check, their TO DO list and calendar. They
look it over once the night before, and again at the start of each day.
In doing so, there are no surprises and they can begin each day in a
productive manner.
5.
They’re active from the get go. Many organized folks exercise first
thing in the morning. If that’s impossible with their schedule, they at
least know when they’ll be exercising later in the day, and they
actually do it even at home.
6.
They handle kitchen duties. They empty the dishwasher and put
everything away. They determine what’s for dinner and handle any
actions that will make that easier later, like adding ingredients to a
crockpot or pulling something that needs to be thawed out of the
freezer.
7.
They don’t double their efforts unnecessarily. If they take off a coat,
they hang it in the closet, rather than tossing it on a chair (which will
then have to be placed in the closet later.) They open mail over the
recycling container and get rid of inserts, outer envelopes, etc., rather
than bringing the mail inside and needing to walk back to the recycling
container later. You get the idea.
8.
They tidy as needed. If something is laying around or looking
disheveled, they rectify that problem. They recycle newspapers, fluff
sofa cushions, and fold and put away clothes once the dryer cycle is
complete. They pick up toys, papers, remote controls or anything
strewn about and put it where it belongs.
9.
They work first and play second. They save scrolling through social
media, watching TV, or reading a fun novel until they accomplish
important TO DOs and projects. They use those fun activities as
rewards after the work is done.
10.
They take at least a mind break or two. They know that taking some
quiet time to meditate, journal, etc., encourages greater productivity in
the hours to follow.
