Here are just a few things I have going on this month… • All-About-Our-Daughter: There are a lot of “all-about-our-daughter- Amanda” TO DOs going on this month for me and my husband. Amanda will be graduating high school in June and attending college across the country (we live in Wisconsin…she’ll be going to school in New York) this coming August. Our TO DOs currently include: ▪ Getting prom dress fitted ▪ Planning a graduation party ▪ Buying/making cards/gifts for her friend’s graduation parties ▪ Making a list of dorm needs and beginning to shop for those ▪ Making travel plans for her college orientation date ▪ Making travel plans for her college move-in date • Book Chat: I’m currently reading Nowhere Girl by Cheryl Diamond and book chat with my friends is early this month. I have to kick my reading time of this title up a notch to get it done in time. It’s taking a bit longer to read than I originally thought it would. • Bunny Shedding Season: We have a pet bunny named Buddy (pictured here in his winter hat that he is really not fond of, but my daughter thinks he looks cute in it) and he sheds around three times a year. It’s that time of year right now and his beautiful white fur is everywhere! So my husband is investing a lot of time brushing him, and I’m investing a lot of time using a lint roller and a vacuum cleaner to get his fur off our furniture, ottoman, and drapery. When he sheds, his fur floats in the air and sticks to whatever it comes into contact with. • Business: As always, there’s lots going on with my Get Organized Now! business. I’ll be writing my newsletters, updating my web site, and doing my regular business TO DOs like usual. But I’m also creating something called GON Organizing Club Live!…stayed tuned for an announcement soon on that. I’m also working on a new book focused on cleaning. That’s a work-in-progress that I’m slowly, but surely, making headway on. • Brat Haus: I’m a board member of the Educational Foundation of Watertown, a local organization that provides teachers and students with financial help for classrooms needs…technology, books, field trips, events, etc. We support all public and private schools in my area. We’re doing a fundraiser at a local food store, Glenn’s Market, at their Brat Haus…an outside food stand where folks stop for lunch. I’m volunteering that day. We’re selling brats, burgers, and other goodies later this month, a one day sale, for that cause. • Coffee with a friend: I’m looking forward to a coffee date with a good friend of mine. Stephanie and I usually meet at 7:30 a.m., monthly, for coffee and conversation. It’s the perfect time to catch up with each other…and for us both to relax a bit! • Deck: After a long Wisconsin winter, our backyard deck needs some work this spring. My husband will be repairing some of our deck boards. Then, he and I will be power washing and staining. It’s a big deck, and therefore a big, time-consuming project. We need to be sure it’s a bit warmer before we start, but we’ll be looking into our “plan-of-attack” in April, and hopefully (depending on the supply chain) buying the items we need to get the job done in May. Needless to say, April is going to be a pretty busy month for me, but at least I have a few fun things planned too. What’s up in your life in April? Let me know.
