Control email overload. Use the two-minute
rule

Technology is available.
When you check your email each day, use the “2-minute rule” which
essentially mean that you immediately handle anything that can be done in
2 minutes or less.
Obviously, you can delete junk mail in seconds. So “delete, delete, delete”
all junk as quickly as you can.
Then, respond to any messages that require responses of just a few words,
like, “OK. Will do” or “Thanks for letting me know.”
Then handle, quick-response emails. Most people can type about 40 words
per minute, which means in two minutes you can send off pretty complete,
super-fast responses.
You should then be left with only a few email messages that require a bit
more of your time…which you can handle during a scheduled email hour
daily.
