An organizing tip for anyone who uses social

media accounts

Hi Maria, Like so many others, I love your newsletter and all the great ideas you and others submit to it.  I'm a collector and keep trying to eliminate the clutter in my house. With 3,300 square feet, it is easy to keep stuff, and/or for my kids who have left home to leave stuff here. However, with many of the great ideas you generate, I've managed to keep it under control. Today I want to submit a "downer" of an idea. For the third week in a row, I have received Linked In (social media) information about someone celebrating a work anniversary, or a birthday, when in fact they have passed away in recent months. My suggestion is that we make a list of all these types of sites that we have information on, and leave that filed with our Will, along with password and instructions how to delete our information upon our death. For family members, it should be added to the checklist of things to be canceled upon the death of a family member. Morbid I know, but part of the cycle of life. Thanks again for your continuing ideas, Submitted by Dale Wilcox from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada P.S. Dale from Maria Gracia: Thanks for your great suggestion. In addition, some social media sites have something called, “Legacy Contacts” (these are people you designate who are allowed to have limited access to your account after your death) that can be set up.
