New Year’s Day. Reflect on the past year, jotting down key
achievements and challenges. Then set ONE specific goal
for January, breaking it down into actionable steps.
____ Jan 2
Fill in Your 2024 Calendar. Open your digital or physical
calendar, review important dates like birthdays,
anniversaries, and planned events, and enter them with
reminders for a timely and organized year.
____ Jan 3
Replenish Holiday Needs. Browse post-holiday sales
online or visit local stores to snag discounted Christmas
lights, holiday gift bags, etc. ensuring you have a fresh
supply for the next festive season.

Buy or Make Greeting Cards. Set aside time to browse
card stores or websites for all-occasion greeting cards, or
gather crafting materials to make personalized cards,
ensuring you're prepared for upcoming birthdays,
anniversaries, and other celebrations.

Weed Out the Fridge. Take 15 minutes to remove expired
items, wipe down surfaces, and organize shelves, creating a
clean and efficient refrigerator space.

Three Kings Day. Gather with family and share a relaxed
meal together.

Schedule Medical Appointments. Grab your calendar, jot
down potential dates, and call your healthcare providers to
schedule check-ups or appointments.

Stow Away Christmas Decor. Label storage containers,
carefully pack away decorations, and organize them in a
designated storage space for easy retrieval when the holiday
season rolls around again.

Dust Off Your Home Fitness Equipment. Grab a damp
cloth or cleaning wipes, and spend 15 minutes wiping down
and dusting off your exercise equipment to maintain a
hygienic and comfortable workout space.

Revamp Your Clothes Closet. Sort through your clothes,
donate items you no longer wear, and organize the
remaining pieces by category, making your closet more
functional and visually appealing.

Dedicate 15 Minutes to Catching Up With Email. Open
your email inbox, quickly scan through messages, immediate
delete those you don’t need and respond to urgent ones.

Locate and Label a File Folder or Large Envelope to
Collect Tax-Related Paperwork. Find a durable folder or
envelope, label it Tax Documents, and place it in a
designated area to collect important tax paperwork (like
W2s) as they arrive.

Tidy a Bedroom Drawer. Select a drawer, remove
unnecessary items, fold items, and organize contents neatly
back in. Consider adding drawer dividers to maintain order.

Dress Up Your Pet Day. Gather pet-friendly accessories or
costumes, spend time playing and interacting with your pet,
and capture adorable photos to commemorate the day.
Share your photos on social media and/or print them for your
scrapbook/photo album.

Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday. Read about Martin Luther
King Jr.'s life and achievements and take a moment of
silence in reflection.

Help Your Child Pick-Up Stray Items in His or Her
Bedroom or the Toy Room. Engage your child in a game or
challenge to pick up toys and belongings, making it a fun
and interactive cleaning experience.

Give Away a Book or Two That You Don’t Plan to Read
Again. Go through your bookshelves, select books to
donate, and drop them off at a local charity, library, or friend’s
house ensuring they find new homes.

Update Your Christmas Card List for the End of This
Year…It’s Never Too Early. Open your address book or
contact list, add any new contacts and remove outdated
ones to keep your Christmas card list current. Bonus points if
you print out the labels and tuck them away until you’re
ready to mail out cards again.

Plan to Take Family Photos. Discuss potential dates and
locations with family members, make schedule
arrangements (contact a photographer if you don’t plan to do
them yourself), set a tentative plan (like what everyone will
wear that day so everyone’s clothes are cohesive), and mark
a specific date on your calendar to ensure everyone is
prepared for the photo shoot.

Take Advantage of White Sales. A white sale is a
promotional event by retail stores offering significant
discounts on linens, bedding, and other household items in
white or light colors. Originally named after the tradition of
selling white bed linens, the term has evolved to include a
variety of home goods in various colors. Research sales at
local stores or online, make a list of needed items, and take
advantage of discounts to refresh your bed linens and
towels.

Declutter One Kitchen Cabinet. Choose a cabinet, remove
items you no longer need, wipe down surfaces, and
reorganize the contents to maximize space and efficiency.

Say Goodbye to at Least 3 Items You Never Use. Identify
three items that have gone unused, decide if they can be
donated or sold, and part with them to help declutter your
living space.
____ Jan 23
National Handwriting Day. Find a notebook or paper,
practice your handwriting for 15 minutes, experimenting with
different styles to enhance your dexterity and penmanship.

Get Your Budget Back on Track. Review your financial
transactions, identify areas for improvement, and make
necessary adjustments to stay on track with your budget.

Replenish Postage Stamps. Check your current supply of
postage stamps. Purchase additional stamps to ensure
you're always prepared.

Take Advantage of Winter Coat Sales. Research local
stores or online sales, identify the type of winter coat you
need, and make a purchase during a sale to save money.

Delete 10 Files on Your Computer or Laptop That You No
Longer Need. Locate unnecessary files and delete them to
free up digital space and improve your computer's
performance.
____ Jan 28
Clean Smudges Off Your Computer Screen, Mirrors, and
TVs. Grab a microfiber cloth and a mild cleaning solution.
Spend 15 minutes wiping down your computer screen,
mirrors, and TVs to remove smudges and fingerprints

National Puzzle Day. Select a puzzle you enjoy, set aside
15 minutes to work on it, and challenge yourself to complete
as much as you can in that time.

Replace an Item That No Longer Works or That Doesn’t
Work Well. Identify a malfunctioning or outdated item. This
could be a pair of kitchen shears that are dull, a small
humidifier that has seen better days, etc. Research and
purchase a replacement, ensuring your living spaces are
equipped with functional tools.

Recycle Old Magazines. Gather old magazines in a
recycling bag, check local recycling guidelines, and drop
them off at a recycling center or arrange for curbside pickup,
contributing to a greener environment.
