__ Nov 1
Make your Christmas list and start shopping. If you begin
now, you should have it all done well before Christmas. My
Christmas Holiday Planner can help you get and stay
organized for a merrier holiday season.
__ Nov 2
Election Day (USA). Exercise your right to vote. Get out to
your local polling place unless you’ve already mailed in your
ballot.
__ Nov 3
Inventory your medicine cabinet for your cold and flu season
remedies. Safely dispose of anything expired. Replenish any
shortages. It’s better to be stocked up than to have to run out
to the store when you’re feeling under the weather.
__ Nov 4
Weed out old tablecloths, cloth napkins, napkins rings and
other dining essentials that have seen better days. Organize
your keepers back in.
__ Nov 5
Do you have any old coats, sweaters, or boots you can
donate? If so, bring them to your local charity.
__ Nov 6
Be sure to change your clocks before you go to bed if
applicable in your area and if it doesn’t happen automatically.
Fall BACK one hour.
__ Nov 7
Daylight Saving Time Ends 2A. Are all of your clocks set to
the correct time? Also, today is a good day to change the
batteries in all of your smoke detectors.
__ Nov 8
Organize a shelf or two in your pantry.
__ Nov 9
Go through a box of photos, with the intention of sorting
them into categories.
__ Nov 10
Delete phone apps you’re no longer using.
__ Nov 11
Veteran’s Day (USA). Say thank you to those you know who
are serving, or have served, in the military. Visit a veteran
memorial or cemetery and pay your respects to the great
men and women who fought for our freedoms.
__ Nov 12
Delete 25 or more photos on your phone that you don’t need
to keep.
__ Nov 13
Look in your pantry. Is there anything in there that has been
sitting unused for months? Years? Is it time to get rid of it?
__ Nov 14
Re-organize under the kitchen sink.
__ Nov 15
Empty a cabinet or drawer, clean them out, get rid of
anything you no longer need, and put everything back in an
organized fashion.
__ Nov 16
Make an appointment to have your pet groomed.
__ Nov 17
Homemade Bread Day. When was the last time you took
the time to make your own bread? With today’s busy
lifestyle, for many this has become a lost art. Make a loaf of
homemade bread today.
__ Nov 18
Begin to use up foods in your refrigerator and freezer
and refrain from going grocery shopping if you can. In
doing so, you’ll have enough space for your Thanksgiving
ingredients.
__ Nov 19
Vacuum out the inside of your vehicle. My husband always
replaces our fabric floor mats with rubber ones this time of
the year. We live in Wisconsin and we know stepping on the
fabric ones with wet, snowy, and/or salty boots can be
damaging.
__ Nov 20
Clean your computer keyboard. I generally turn mine upside
down over a trash container and tap gently to remove loose
crumbs and debris. I then dampen a Q-tip with rubbing
alcohol and gently clean around the keys. It may take a few
Q-tips to complete the job.
__ Nov 21
Finalize Thanksgiving plans. If you’re hosting, be sure you
have your TO DOs all written up. If you’re visiting and
bringing a dish to pass, have a list of ingredients so you can
get whatever you need from the supermarket. Traveling? Are
your plane tickets easily accessible and bags packed?
__ Nov 22
Is your pantry well stocked? If not, it’s a good time to make a
list and replenish whatever you need. When winter weather
hits, you can simply open your pantry and prepare meals
without having to venture out into the cold, snow, and ice.
__ Nov 23
Clean out your wallet.
__ Nov 24
Donate or give away old cookbooks you no longer use.
__ Nov 25
Thanksgiving Day (USA). Enjoy this day of gratitude,
blessings, food, and family.
__ Nov 26
Start decorating for Christmas. My husband always gets
our holiday décor out of storage the day after Thanksgiving
and my daughter and I begin decorating. We never do it all in
one day…but we enjoy getting started. We always have
Christmas movies playing in the background.
__ Nov 27
Reorganize your sleepwear drawer.
__ Nov 28
Are your socks neatly organized in pairs? If not, today is a
good day to get them in order. Consider a sock organizer if
you don’t already have one.
__ Nov 29
As you come across Christmas decorations you no longer
like, put them in a donation box. Then bring them to your
local charity prior to the holiday. What may not strike your
fancy may make someone else very happy.
__ Nov 30
Begin writing out your Christmas cards. Figure out how many
you’ll be sending so you know how many you have to write
each day to get them done over the next two weeks.
