Replace those with missing lids. ____ May 3 Organize your underwear drawer. ____ May 4 Give away 3 books. Your library may accept them for a book sale, you can add them to a “Little Free Library” if there’s one in your area, give them to your favorite charity, or pass on to a friend or relative. ____ May 5 Is your fence looking a bit shabby? Use a scrub brush to clean it off and paint if applicable. ____ May 6 Thoroughly clean the laundry room floor. Vacuum first to remove any lint and other debris, and then mop. Yes, this is a real holiday and the perfect time to ensure you have no dirty dishes sitting in the sink. If you don’t, use this day to weed out any surplus of dishes you may have. ____ May 19 Go through your clothes closet and give away anything you never wear. Really. If it’s just hanging there catching dust, it’s just taking up unnecessary space. ____ May 20 If you have a pool that has been covered all winter, it’s time to begin removing that cover, fishing out any debris, and doing everything you do, a little at a time, to get your pool ready for the season. ____ May 21 Donate an evening gown or suit you purchased years ago that you’ll never wear again. Chances are, there is somebody out there hoping they’ll find one in your local thrift store. ____ May 22 Take the time to get outside on a nice, clear evening and identify three constellations in the sky…just for fun. ____ May 23 Add mulch to your garden beds as applicable. ____ May 24 Clean out and organize a shelf in your pantry. ____ May 25 Check your garden hose to be sure it’s not leaking. Shred any personal information before discarding. ____ May 28 Clean out and organize your vehicle’s glove compartment…and any other car compartments you use for storage. ____ May 29 Borrow a book from your local library, and give yourself the gift of free time to enjoy reading it. The busier you are, the more vital it is to relax and enjoy something in between. ____ May 30 Are you ready for barbecue season? Give your grill a deep cleaning and check to see if you have to purchase any grilling utensils, propane, and other grilling tools. ____ May 31 Memorial Day.
