__ Jun 1
Summer comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Make a
summer bucket list so you’re all ready to check off each fun
TO DO one-by-one. A few ideas are: going somewhere to pick
your own fruit, a day at the beach, a summer concert in the
park, or sipping lemonade outside with a neighbor.
__ Jun 2
Plant something in your garden…a flower you love or a
vegetable your family enjoys eating. No gardening space?
Indoor gardens are fun too!
__ Jun 3
World Bicycle Day. Check the air in your bike tires and refill if
needed. Grab your helmet and go for a bike ride.
__ Jun 4
Get tickets for a professional baseball game or make plans to
watch a local team play for free at one of your city’s ball fields.
__ Jun 5
Clean your outdoor dryer vent. Be sure to remove any built-up
lint.
__ Jun 6
Clean your mailbox. Maybe paint it if needed and if your town
allows.
__ Jun 7
Add fresh mulch in your plant beds.
__ Jun 8
Standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitos. Empty it
from plant saucers or any place else where it may be
accumulating.
__ Jun 9
Do you have enough propane for your gas grill? If not, time to
get some. Barbecue season is here!
__ Jun 10
Inventory and corral summer necessities in an easy-to-access
basket, like sun glasses, sun tan lotion, and bug spray.
__ Jun 11
Get rid of old paperwork in at least 10 file folders. Be sure
your shred any that contain your social security number or
bank account information. Is there a free shredding event in
town? If so, get it on your calendar and get a bunch of your
old taxes, prior to 7 years ago, shredded.
__ Jun 12
Hang a clothes line or purchase a free-standing laundry rack
that you can take outside on a nice day. When it’s nice out,
dry your clothes in the fresh air.
__ Jun 13
Thoroughly clean out the storage area of your car.
__ Jun 14
Flag Day (USA). Display your American flag proudly from
sunrise to sunset.
__ Jun 15
Wash the car…inside and out.
__ Jun 16
Clean out your child’s backpack. Get rid of all papers no
longer needed. Stow away any memories.
__ Jun 17
Give a few good books, that you’ll never read again, to a
friend, a used book store, or a Little Free Library if there’s one
in your area.
__ Jun 18
Donate an old raincoat you never wear to a local charity.
__ Jun 19
Father’s Day. Make a list of five famous fathers, just for fun.
Then do something in celebration of special fathers
everywhere.
__ Jun 20
Check the outside of your home for security concerns, like
overgrown bushes, areas that could be lit better, or lack of
security cameras. Make a list of possible improvements and
get one or two of them on your TO DO list.
__ Jun 21
First Day of Summer. Handle an outdoor task, like adding
seasonal garden décor, hosing off the patio, or sweeping your
front porch.
__ Jun 22
Get rid of any excess of gardening containers. Sometimes we
buy way more containers that we can realistically use for
planting.
__ Jun 23
Weed out your kitchen cooking utensil drawer.
__ Jun 24
Declutter your garage. Safely dispose of old paints and
solvents (contact your city sanitation for information on how to
do so.) Get rid of holiday décor you’re no longer using. Weed
out (pun intended!) gardening supplies that have seen better
days.
__ Jun 25
Clean off the top of your refrigerator. Remove and get rid of
any old papers and other unnecessary items you may be
storing up there.
__ Jun 26
Replace your shower curtain liner if needed. Wash your
shower curtain.
__ Jun 27
Wash your windows. Do one a day inside and out until they’re
done.
__ Jun 28
Are your bird feeders empty? Fill them up.
__ Jun 29
Make an appointment to have your pet groomed, or give your
pet a bath yourself.
__ Jun 30
Make a July task list. Then do one of those tasks today to give
you a head start.
