For a PRINTABLE VERSION, click here ____ Jun 1 Make your summer bucket list. Today is a great day to make a list of everything you want to do, starting on the first day of summer,  June 20th. ____ Jun 2 Clean out and organize a section of your garage. ____ Jun 3 Inventory gardening supplies. Do you need to replace anything from last year? Make a list. ____ Jun 4 Clean your shower liner and shower curtain. Shower liners are so inexpensive these days…I normally just replace mine this time of the year. ____ Jun 5 Stock up on sunscreen and insect repellent.  ____ Jun 6 Poison ivy is no fun if you touch it. Speaking of poison ivy (and poison oak/poison sumac for that matter) know how to identify it. .____ Jun 7 Clean ceiling fan blades. Just use an old pillow case. Position the pillow case over the fan blade and remove all of the dust in one pull. When you’re done, bring the pillow case outside, turn it inside out, and shake the dust off. Then toss the pillow case in the laundry basket to be washed. ____ Jun 8 Empty any standing water from flowerpot saucers, etc., especially those that are close to decks, patios, and other outdoor seating areas. Standing water attracts mosquitos. ____ Jun 9 Father’s Day is coming up soon. It’s time to make plans, and purchase or make cards/gifts. ____ Jun 10 Inventory bathing suits, flip flops, beach towels, sunglasses, and other summer gear. If you have an overload or anything you never use, donate it. If you have to purchase any of these items, add these needs to a list. Be sure to include size, color, style and any other details so nothing is in question while you’re at the store. ____ Jun 11 Patch any tears/holes on screen doors. ____ Jun 12 Add mulch to garden beds. ____ Jun 13 Wrap up the school year. Weed out papers and school supplies that are no longer needed and won’t be used next school season. Thoroughly clean out school lunch boxes. Sort through art projects and such, keeping only a few that represent the year, rather than all of them. File away report cards, empty out backpacks, etc. ____ Jun 14 Flag Day (USA). Display your American flag proudly. ____ Jun 15 Do you have any summer beach reads sitting around your home that you won’t read again? Maybe you can give them to a friend or add them to a Little Free Library if there’s one in your area. ____ Jun 16 How is your clothes closet looking? Does it need some tidying. Are there items in it that can be donated? ____ Jun 17 Recycle old catalogs, magazines, and newspapers. ____ Jun 18 It’s a great time to update your first aid kit. Be sure you have supplies in it for insect bites. ____ Jun 19 Say goodbye to old notebooks that are filled with notes you no longer need. ____ Jun 20 Father’s Day and 1st Day of Summer. Today may be the perfect day for a picnic or barbecue. ____ Jun 21 Clean out the car. Discard any junk. Dust and vacuum. Bring to the car wash or wash it yourself. ____ Jun 22 Weed out old email. Delete your digital trash and spam folders. ____ Jun 23 Clean out and tidy the shed. ____ Jun 24 Organize the surface of your refrigerator. Can you remove some papers, calendars, photos, etc. that are no longer necessary to display? ____ Jun 25 Identify 10 over-stuffed file folders. Work on emptying them out as much as possible. Shred any personal information before recycling. ____ Jun 26 Clean out and organize 3 kitchen cabinets. ____ Jun 27 Donate cookbooks that you never use. ____ Jun 28 Weed out t-shirts with logos that you never wear. You know you have some. Nearly everyone does. ____ Jun 29 Empty your junk drawer completely. Clean it out and return the keepers in an organized fashion. Use shallow containers to keep the contents sorted and organized. ____ Jun 30 Finalize your 4th of July plans, especially if you are hosting a get together at your home.
