Look up recipes you’ve used in the past or find new, fun dishes you can make. Do any last-minute shopping for ingredients.____ Feb 2It is Groundhog Day. Winter is halfway done. Groundhogs, otherwise known as woodchucks, are rodents. They hibernate throughout the winter. Watch the movie Groundhog Day.____ Feb 3Whether you are a football fan or not, take time today to enjoy either the Super Bowl or your favorite hobby.____ Feb 4Give your floors a good sweep.____ Feb 5Chinese New Year! 2019 is the year of the pig. Celebrate with a family dinner. Pass around red envelopes filled with money. Decorate with the color red. associated with wealth and good fortune.____ Feb 6Take a trip to your local library and bring home a new book or two to enjoy during the last few weeks of winter..____ Feb 7Catch up on any email messages sitting in your inbox.____ Feb 8Declutter and re-organize one kitchen cabinet.____ Feb 9Take some much needed and deserved “me time,” whether you choose an at home spa day (manicure, pedicure, facial, or deep condition your hair) or time spent reading a book with a hot cup of tea. Enjoy some time alone today.____ Feb 10Need to clean a microwave quickly? Fill a microwave safe-bowl with water, cut up and place a lemon in the bowl, put the lemon-water bowl inside the microwave, and heat on high. The steam will loosen stuck on food.____ Feb 11Treat yourself to a couple of new pillows for your bedroom. ____ Feb 12Deep clean your shower until it sparkles and shines. ____ Feb 13 Delete and simplify your desktop by removing no longer needed or used icons.____ Feb 14Happy Valentine’s Day! Enjoy time with family or friends. Cook a homemade meal and make it feel special by lighting some candles on the dining room table.____ Feb 15Toss any old socks that no longer have mates, or have holes/stretched out elastics.____ Feb 16Weed out your purse or wallet. Toss out any garbage, old and unwanted receipts, and paperwork. Purses tend to get heavy quickly so try to streamline items being put back in your purse. Assess whether each item is wanted or needed.____ Feb 17Germ check! Wash and dry bedroom bed linens.____ Feb 18Clean your shower heads using white vinegar.____ Feb 19Take the time to make your bed in the morning after you get up. It will immediately make your room look neater.____ Feb 20Continue collecting needed documents for tax-time. Add them to your tax folder and be sure to label for easy finding.____ Feb 21Find more time in your day by using your time wisely such as reading, knitting, or checking emails when you are waiting for your child to finish an after-school activity or at the doctor’s office.____ Feb 22How about adding a little color to your life during the middle of winter? Buy yourself a bouquet of fresh flowers. Try some spring flowers such as tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils to add a spark of color and freshness in your house.____ Feb 23Dust off picture frames and mirrors hanging on the walls.____ Feb 24Make up a meal plan for the next week. Try to use what you already have in your freezer and pantry.____ Feb 25Let the sun shine into your house by washing the inside of your windows.____ Feb 26Water your plants…and say goodbye to plants that should be put to rest, so to speak.____ Feb 27Spread some kindness around today. Do something nice for someone else. Pay for someone’s coffee in line behind you, open a door for someone at the bank, buy a bouquet of flowers for a receptionist, or even give someone a compliment.____ Feb 28Look forward to the month of March and grab any cards you need for the month.
