____ Feb 1
Spread some love. Mail three Valentine’s Day cards to three people
who are not expecting them from you.
____ Feb 2
Groundhog Day. Catch up on your ironing while watching Bill
Murray's 1993 Movie, Groundhog Day.
____ Feb 3
Launder and change bed linens.
____ Feb 4
Vacuum under the sofa cushions.
____ Feb 5
Look around. Do you see something that needs to be put away?
Get that item back into its proper home.
____ Feb 6
Browse through your coat closet. Remove anything you (and
family members) don’t need. Place those items in a donation bag
and drive that bag to your local charity.
.____ Feb 7
Tidy up the laundry room.
____ Feb 8
Clean Out Your Computer Day. Celebrate by getting rid of 25
files (old documents, spreadsheets, images, etc.) you no longer
need.
____ Feb 9
Grab a box from your basement or attic…and weed it out. Or, can
you get rid of it all? You can have a clutter-free basement or
attic…click to read how.
____ Feb 10
Do you have people you barely know, or people who are a bit
toxic, on your Facebook friend list? Review your friend list and
“unfriend” as applicable…10 at a time.
____ Feb 11
Safely weed out expired over-the-counter medications. Replenish
your supply if needed.
____ Feb 12
Organize your cooking utensils. Use a drawer divider to help keep
them sorted and accessible. If you’d like, add a holder to your
counter for frequently-used cooking utensils so they’re “at the
ready” when needed.
____ Feb 13
Always wasting time trying to identify which cord goes with which
device or piece of equipment? Start labeling them today.
____ Feb 14
Valentine’s Day. Get together with a friend (in person or Zoom)
and make a bucket list of fun things you’d like to do together.
These can be super simple, like going out for a walk in a new
neighborhood, visiting an art museum, having a virtual lunch, etc.
____ Feb 15
Get rid of 100 email messages you no longer need. Delete, delete,
delete…and then delete…as fast as possible.
____ Feb 16
Commit to 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day and get moving.
Effective organizing begins with your health.
____ Feb 17
Have you been procrastinating on something? A home project, a
work project, a doctor appointment? Start today…even if only for
20 minutes.
____ Feb 18
Inspect your sock drawer. Get rid of any that have seen better
days.
____ Feb 19
Call someone (a friend, neighbor, relative) who lives alone…just to
say hi.
____ Feb 20
Love Your Pet Day. Organize your pet’s food area so everything
is clean and neat. Then, invest time doing something your pet
loves…petting, brushing, walking outside, etc.
____ Feb 21
Stop reading a book you’re not enjoying. It’s OK. Unless you’re
forced to read it for work or school, you don’t have to finish it.
____ Feb 22
Recycle old magazines and newspapers.
____ Feb 23
Bring your car to the car wash and get the exterior cleaned.
____ Feb 24
Vacuum out the interior of your car with a hand vac.
____ Feb 25
Help your child clean and organize his or her backpack (if that
child is attending school in person) or his or her schoolwork area
(if that child is attending school virtually.)
____ Feb 26
Recycle 25 sheets of paper in your filing cabinet that you no longer
need. Click here for 4 options to begin clearing your paper clutter.
____ Feb 27
Replace file folders that are torn, falling apart, or that smell musty.
____ Feb 28
Name an organizing project for March that you’ll be focusing on.
