__ Dec 1
Write up your Christmas TO DOs and try to handle one a day
so you’re well-prepared on Christmas day.
__ Dec 2
Send out your Christmas cards and any gifts that you’re
mailing.
__ Dec 3
Thoroughly clean your stove top.
__ Dec 4
Organize a pile of papers…at home, at the office, or both.
__ Dec 5
Make any medical appointments you’ve been procrastinating
on. Don’t forget about vet appointments for your pet(s).
__ Dec 6
St. Nick’s Day. Be sure treats are in stockings, socks, shoes,
or bags for the kiddos (maybe for the “kids at heart”
too)…before they wake up.
__ Dec 7
Weed out old, expired makeup or cosmetics you don’t, and
won’t, use.
__ Dec 8
Is there a pot or pan in your kitchen that needs to be
replaced? Perhaps the Teflon coating is wearing off or it’s
damaged beyond repair? Replace it if needed.
__ Dec 9
Clean out the drawer under your oven if you have one. I store
cookie sheets, muffin tins, and other flat (or somewhat flat)
items in that drawer. Empty it out and vacuum out all the
crumbs, dust and debris with your vacuum attachment.
Reload the items you’re storing, being sure you’re doing so in
an organized manner.
__ Dec 10
Return anything borrowed, whether it’s a book from the library
or a tool a friend loaned you.
__ Dec 11
Choose one area of your basement that is especially
cluttered. Start weeding out anything you no longer need.
__ Dec 12
Organize all of your batteries in one place, preferably using a
battery sorter.
__ Dec 13
Do you have a surplus of water bottles? It may be high time to
donate extras that you don’t need.
__ Dec 14
Roast Chestnuts Day. This holiday is a fairly new one and
was started because many folks have never tasted a
chestnut. I roast them every year and we so enjoy them, as
well as the amazing, festive aroma they produce.
__ Dec 15
Recycle old magazines and newspapers.
__ Dec 16
Sort through underwear, bras, and socks. Are there some that
are worn out? If so, discard those and shop for new ones.
__ Dec 17
Have you watched a Christmas movie yet this season? Take
the time to watch one…or two.
__ Dec 18
Be sure you have a designated place for gift cards you’ve
received so you can find them and use them.
__ Dec 19
Delete unnecessary voicemail messages lingering on your
land line voicemail and/or cell phone voicemail.
__ Dec 20
Buy any last-minute gifts and either wrap them, or have the
store wrap them for you.
__ Dec 21
Weed out and organize your TV or media cabinet.
__ Dec 22
Weed out and organize your kitchen towel drawer.
__ Dec 23
Replenish something you’re running out of, like stamps,
vitamins or coffee.
__ Dec 24
Get something on tomorrow’s TO DO list done today. Then,
enjoy a peaceful evening.
__ Dec 25
Christmas Day. Focus on peace and goodwill today. Have a
very Merry Christmas.
__ Dec 26
Do you have an overload of candles? Maybe give them to
someone who uses them more than you do.
__ Dec 27
Return, to the store, any gifts you received that don’t suit you,
don’t fit you, or won’t work for you for any reason.
__ Dec 28
Dust off a dusty surface.
__ Dec 29
Is there a project you can start, and finish, before the new
year? Get it done today.
__ Dec 30
Catch up on your laundry.
__ Dec 31
New Year’s Eve. Reflect on the past year. What was
wonderful? What could be improved in the year ahead? Also,
is your 2022 calendar ready for tomorrow?
