More Experiences, Less Stuff
Challenges
Each day this month, dedicate about 15 minutes to tackle these
decluttering challenges and reward yourself with a new experience.
These small steps will help clear your space and create room for more
joy.
1.
Clear out: unused cleaning products gathering dust.
Reward: Visit a museum or aquarium—go solo or invite friends or
family.
2.
Let go of: shoes that hurt, don’t match, or just aren’t your style.
Reward: Enjoy a favorite movie, uninterrupted.
3.
Toss out: frayed or holey bath towels.
Reward: Get creative with a DIY craft project.
4.
Pare down: extra food storage containers.
Reward: Treat yourself to lunch or a fancy coffee outing.
5.
Donate or discard: kids’ toys, games, and books they’ve outgrown.
Reward: Take a peaceful stroll at the park and enjoy the scenery.
6.
Recycle: paper clutter. Set a 30-minute timer and go all in.
Reward: Catch a matinée movie.
7.
Dispose of safely: expired medicine and food.
Reward: Invite a neighbor over for tea and a chat.
8.
Toss: old magazines and newspapers.
Reward: Create a new playlist and enjoy it while you indulge in a
hobby.
9.
Clear out: unused costume jewelry.
Reward: Learn a simple origami animal and gift it to a child or
grandchild.
10.
Sort through: your surplus craft supplies.
Reward: Visit your town’s visitor center and discover something new
about your community.
