Organizing Challenges Mini Challenges: You Can Accomplish These…Even if You’re Having a Rough Week Do you ever have the type of week when it’s a challenge to even put your shoes away? Here are 7 mini challenges that you can get done… even if you’re having a rough week. 1. Day 1 - Clean out coffee cup rings. Sprinkle baking soda in any stained coffee mugs and add enough water to form a paste. Start scrubbing. It will take a few minutes and a bit of elbow grease, but those rings should begin vanishing...even stains that have been on the mugs for a while. 2. Day 2 - Un-squeak squeaky door hinges. Squirting a puff of powdered graphite alongside the pin where the hinge turns usually does the trick. 3. Day 3 - Organize batteries. Get your batteries into a battery organizer, sorted by type. 4. Day 4 - Put three things away. Look around the room you’re in. Put at least 3 things away that are not in their proper homes. 5. Day 5 - Give your eyes some tender loving care. Soak two green tea bags in warm water for a few moments, squeeze them out, lie down, and place the bags on your eyes for 5 minutes or so. Doing so reduces puffiness…and stress. 6. Day 6 - Re-organize your towels. Sometimes, when we’re in a rush, we just throw towels in the linen closet. If yours looks chaotic, remove all towels. One by one, fold them nicely, and re-stack them in your linen closet…all facing one direction. 7. Day 7 - Say goodbye. Give yourself permission to say goodbye to an old project you’re no longer interested in completing.
