It’s March…the season of spring, re-birth, and accomplishments waiting for
you to celebrate. Here are 5 “you-can-do-it” mini-challenges so you feel
that sense of accomplishment the entire month through. Have fun
achieving each of them, one by one. Ready, set, go!
Accomplishment Challenges
Here are your 5 mini challenges for the month, all based on
accomplishments.
___
Donate one item each day: Designate one box your ‘Donations’
box. Label it. Throughout the month, add one item to it each day. At
the end of the month, drop the whole box off (30 donated items) at
your favorite donation center and feel your accomplishment.
___
Wash one window per day: Washing windows doesn’t have to be
an all-day affair. Each day, wash one window inside and out. Try
tackling it when it’s not so sunny outside…early in the morning or
later in the day…to prevent streaks. When you’re done with your
entire home, do something fun to celebrate this accomplishment.
___
No negative thoughts: Each day this month, focus on the positive.
Any time a negative thought enters your mind, write down
something positive in your journal. Doing this without fail will help
you live with more joy. The goal is not necessarily to have zero
negative thoughts…all of us have them now and then…but rather to
combat those thoughts as soon as we realize we’re having them.
When your positive thoughts outweigh the negative ones, that’s an
amazing accomplishment for you and others around you.
___
Drink at least eight, 8-ounce glasses of water a day: If you’re not
used to drinking that much water, begin with three 8-ounce glasses
and work your way up. Celebrate this accomplishment at the end of
the month with a new pair of workout pants or a brand new reusable
water bottle. I like the stainless steel ones that keep my water cold
all day long.
___
Clean and organize one area: Every weekday (yes, you get to skip
the weekends), clean and organize one area. It could be a section of
your coat closet, a shelf in your bathroom, a corner of your
office…your choice! This should be a job that you can start and
accomplish in 10 to 15 minutes or less.
