Organizing Challenges Mini Organizing Challenges: March For each week of March, our mini challenges will be focused on “Fresh Starts.” Week 1 (February 29 - March 6) Clean out the fridge. Completely empty the fridge and clean it thoroughly, including door shelving and bins. Your challenge is to give it that “newly purchased” feel. Then reorganize items back into it…except for anything expired or that you or your family will not eat. Week 2 (March 7 - 13) Reorganize and/or redecorate a room. Spring is a great time of year for a new paint job, to switch out decor, to organize the flow of a room so it’s easier to move around it, or simply to redecorate. Choose a room to focus on, jot down your thoughts and ideas, and then put those ideas into motion. Week 3 (March 14 - 20) Replace something. Every now and then, we own something in our life that’s no longer bringing us joy…a sewing machine that’s not working quite right any longer, a dryer that’s on the fritz, a computer that is too slow for our needs, and so on. If it’s in your budget, replace that item now. If it’s not in your budget, start a savings account. Even if you’re only putting $20 a week into that account, you’ll be on your way to replacing that item in the future. Week 4: (March 21 - 27) Start a new activity or adventure. Maybe you’ve been meaning to start your own business, adopt a pet, learn how to make crepes, or go back to school? Spring is a wonderful time to begin planning, writing up mini-goals, and beginning that new activity or adventure.
