by Maria Gracia Aim to achieve at least three or more of our June Mini Challenges this month. Ready, set, go! Join our newsletter to be notified when the newest monthly Organizing and Life Challenges are available. ___ Home Challenge.  Focus on decluttering three items from your kitchen…every day this month. By the end of the month, your kitchen will feel lighter and more spacious. ___ Time Challenge.  Whatever you’re working on this month, ask yourself, “Am I just being busy or am I being effective?” Anyone can be busy…but you can spend a whole lot of time being busy with something that’s not getting you anywhere. Focus on tasks/projects/goals that make positive differences in your life and streamline what you’re working on…so these aren’t taking you longer to accomplish than is truly necessary. ___ Health and Wellness Challenge.  Focus on “movement” this month. Being active is good for your health and well-being…and being active in the warmer months provides many fun opportunities. Swim, walk, row a boat, play basketball with your kids/grandkids, or do some outdoor yoga. ___ Relationship Challenge.  Focus on being a good neighbor. For instance, keep the outside of your home neat and appealing, be a responsible pet owner, be mindful of pet poop (be sure to remove it from your yard, etc. quickly), offer to carry things, and say hello! ___ Educational Challenge.  June is Effective Communications Month. Learn something (read a book, take a class, etc.) with the goal of improving your communication, whether that focus is on effective speaking or presentation skills, writing skills, or listening skills. ___ Spiritual Challenge.  Start a “daily reflection journal” in which you can invest the last 15 minutes of each day reflecting on your thoughts, dreams, challenges, and goals. ___ Fun Challenge.  Be creative and paint something…a paint-by-number, a rock, watercolors on a canvas.
