Organizing Challenges Mini Organizing Challenges: December For each week of December, our challenge theme is Organizing and Increasing Your Knowledge. Here are your mini weekly challenges.. Week 1: Learn how to cook something new. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to bake homemade bread, make your own pie crust from scratch, or try making something a bit more complicated than usual, like homemade pasta. Give it a shot this week. Make it more fun by preparing it with your spouse or a friend. Week 2: Learn about something in your town. Pick up a book from the local library that tells about the history of your town or visit a local museum. Week 3: Learn to fix something yourself. Have a loose doorknob that needs tightening or a cabinet that won’t close? Why not learn how to fix it yourself and take care of it? There are tons of YouTube videos at your fingertips to learn from. Week 4: Learn something from someone else. Search online for a Ted Talk…there are tons to choose from. You’re sure to learn something new and be inspired. Alternately, or in addition, find out what speakers are in your area for subjects you’re interested in…and register for the presentation. Week 5: Learn 3 meditation techniques. We can all use a bit more serenity and quiet time now and then. Read up on meditation techniques, jot 3 of them down in a notebook, and then take some time for yourself (at least 3 days) this week, to enjoy them.
