Organizing Challenges Mini Challenges: Stay Motivated By Reaching These Attainable Goals When it comes to organizing, it’s easier to stay motivated when you don’t give yourself unattainable goals. Here are 7 challenges you CAN definitely meet this week. 1. Day 1 - 1-2-3 Meal Planning. Instead of trying to plan a 21-day meal plan, or even a 7-day meal plan, start by planning just 3 days at a time. Come up with three simple meals you plan to prepare, and go grocery shopping for any ingredients you need. Once you’ve mastered this, you can increase your meal-plan days. 2. Day 2 - Get your kids to organize ONE thing. It’s a good idea for the kids to get used to organizing things themselves. Put them to work organizing one drawer, one shelf, or weeding out one pair of pants that no longer fit. 3. Day 3 - Clean ONE window. No, you may not have time to get to EVERY window in your house, but cleaning one or two is very doable. 4. Day 4 - Wash or replace your shower liner. Run your shower curtain liner through the washing machine and line dry it. If it’s really yucky, buy a new one and toss the old one. 5. Day 5 - Bathroom beauty…take 5. Take 5 minutes to clean and wipe down your bathroom counters. Hang a clean hand towel and close the shower curtain for a tidy and neat appearance. 6. Day 6 - Shine the kitchen sink. Wipe your kitchen sink with a disinfectant cleaning wipe each evening before getting ready for bed. As a final touch, spritz the faucet with window cleaning and buff until it shines. 7. Day 7 - Turn your keyboard upside down. Hold your keyboard over the trash can upside down to release any crumbs. Gently shake-free any debris.
