___
Home Challenge.
Windows…they’re a focal point in many rooms. Focus on
cleaning windows, window tracks, and window coverings. How many can you
get done this month?
___
Time Challenge.
For the first two weeks of the month, determine how much
time you invest in grocery shopping. Keep track on paper. For the remainder
of the month, try to reduce that time by at least 20%.
___
Health and Wellness Challenge.
Make water your beverage of choice for
the month. Except for your cup of morning coffee (if you must), see if you can
stick to water (mission: 6 to 8 glasses) only each day. You’ll be sure to stay
hydrated and you won’t be filling your body with unnecessary sugar, caffeine
or other chemicals.
___
Relationship Challenge.
Is there a person or two in your life with whom you
often lose your patience? Practice the art of patience this month in your
relationships, whenever you can. If you catch yourself being impatient, count
to 10 slowly, and do whatever you can to remain calm, kind, and patient.
___
Educational Challenge.
Play a mind-stimulating game a few times a week
like a crossword puzzle, jigsaw puzzle, Sudoku, or chess.
___
Spiritual Challenge.
Establish a simple routine of starting and ending your
day in gratitude. Each morning and evening, think of one or two people,
places, things, or beliefs for which you’re grateful. Doing so will train your
mind to begin and end each day with thankfulness in your mind and heart.
___
Fun Challenge.
Plant something…whether it’s a tree, herbs, vegetables, or
flowers. Doing so can build your strength, improve hand dexterity, give you
the opportunity to slow down, encourage creativity and mindfulness, provide
a sense of purpose, and add beauty to your home. Don’t have the space?
Consider a window container garden or some simple indoor plants.
