Storing Kitchen Items That You Need, But
Don’t Use Often

Almost every kitchen has appliances, oversized servers, and pots that are
seldom used. Obviously, items that are never used should be donated, sold,
or tossed. However, you may have items that are occasionally used and
important to you at certain times of the year. Getting rid of these items is
probably not your best option. But allowing them to take up year-round
kitchen storage space is probably not your best bet either.
Maybe you have several large cookie sheets, but you only use them during
the holiday season. Or you only use the bread machine when Aunt Sally
visits once or twice a year. There's no sense in keeping these in the kitchen
all year if you only use them once in awhile.
A good solution for this dilemma is to stow these rarely used items in a
closet or in the basement, and just fish them out when you need them.
By the way, so you remember where you're storing everything, it's a good
idea to keep a list of these rarely used items and their storage locations
taped on the inside of one of your kitchen cabinets.
This save-on-daily-storage-space idea can easily be applied to the other
rooms in your home, or even in your office.
