Empty surfaces...they’re always the starting point for clutter to begin and grow.
Just put one thing down that doesn’t belong there and you’ve initialized a
potential clutter mountain.
To avoid this, set tables with pretty placemats, napkins in napkin rings, and a vase
of beautiful flowers. Place a gorgeous coffee table book or two on your coffee
table. Put your framed family photo on your bedroom dresser, along with a lovely
silver tray that holds your favorite scents. I know I’m less likely to mess up a surface
that looks so pretty!
