I came across a wonderful recipe in Prevention Magazine that helps soothe
a sore throat like you wouldn’t believe. The best thing is, you can make one
single serving at a time! Here’s what you do...
Lemon Honey and Garlic Soup
Heat 1-1/2 cups of vegetable or chicken broth. (If you don’t have your own
already made, use pre-made. In a pinch, I use Kitchen Basics No-Salt
Chicken Stock...it comes in a box.)
Add one tablespoon of each of the following to a soup bowl: finely diced
yellow onion, celery, carrots, and fresh lemon juice. Add one minced garlic
clove, and 2 teaspoons of grated lemon zest.
When the broth is heated, pour it over the contents in your soup bowl,
drizzle with honey, and enjoy!
