Dirty Little Secrets, Organizing Tips and Life Hacks
I have a very methodical system for prepping
and cooking all of my Thanksgiving recipes.
Here’s what it is…
by Maria Gracia
When prepping and cooking for big celebrations, like Thanksgiving, there
are often lots of steps to remember to do…from when to defrost the turkey,
to what time to put the stuffing in the oven, to last-minute prep of dips and
spreads. I take the time, a few weeks prior to the actual holiday, to make a
list of exactly what has to be done, what day it has to be done, and what
time it should begin. It looks like this:
Wednesday, Nov 24
3:00P
Name of Task
7:30P
Name of Task
Thursday, Nov 25
6:00AM
Name of Task
7:15AM
Name of Task
9:20AM
Name of Task
11:40AM
Name of Task
etc.
When the day and time is here, I do the TO DOs listed. This makes life so
much easier, more organized, and less stressful. I even include when I
should begin getting MYSELF ready so that I’m presentable when guests
arrive.
