I set the stopper in my sink, fill my sink with water and a few squirts of gentle soap, and allow my brushes and sponges to soak for 30 minutes. I then swish them around in my hands to remove any leftover makeup, drain the water, and rinse each thoroughly. I then lay them to air dry on a clean towel.
