Then begin dusting/cleaning furniture, surfaces, lamps, etc, moving in a circle around the perimeter of the room. 3. Then dust anything in the center of the room. In the case of a bedroom, this would be a good time to change the linens on the bed. 4. Finally, end with vacuuming or mopping the flooring and any throw rugs as applicable.
