Which electrical cord belongs to which device,
appliance, etc.? Here’s how to always know

Give yourself the ability to easily identify a cord or cable by labeling it. Cable
labels work great. I like the fact that they are color-coded and that you can
write on them by hand…rather than printing them on a printer. Also, because
they’re made specifically for this purpose, they won’t warp or tear.
Use permanent marker to write out a name on each cable label (e.g. iPad,
laptop charger, lamp, etc.) and connect it to the base of each cord where it
connects to your plug or power strip.
Once all cords are labeled, it is no longer a guessing game to figure out which
one belongs to which device, appliance, etc.
