How to Safely Store Your Child’s Camera Drone With technology advancing faster than any of us could ever imagine, it’s not a surprise that even toys now have become a little bit more complicated. The little ones can now play with remote- controlled cars, video games that make use of sensors, and other stuff that was once only found in science fiction. Among the most sought-after high-tech playthings today is a camera drone. This gadget allows the little ones to capture aerial images and videos that they can use for their mini productions. It also puts to test their maneuvering skills, which will be useful in the future when they become drivers or controllers of machines. Because they are a bit expensive, drones for kids really have to be taken care of properly. Of course, kids -- especially the much younger ones -- can’t be fully trusted with the care of some of the things that they own. They will need guidance. This article attempts to equip you with the knowledge that you need so that you can properly assist your little ones in caring for and storing their camera drone. Take care of the battery The battery is one of the aircraft’s most delicate components. It is very sensitive to temperature  and to the other objects that it comes in contact with. Do not store a fully charged battery as this can lead to permanent damage to it. Also, do not store the battery when it has very low power. Right before storage, make sure that the battery is 40% to 65% charged. The place where you store the battery must be cool, approximately around 22 to 28 degrees Celsius. Having said this, it follows that the battery must be kept away from sources of heat such as direct sunlight and exhausts. Also be mindful that the battery is not placed near anything that has metal in or on it. Liquids can also harm drone batteries so it’s imperative that you keep liquids away from your storage area. Always check for dirt and/or damage It is safe to say that a camera drone is an amazingly aggressive gadget. Because of this, after every use, there is a need to inspect it closely for damage before you store it in its special box. Check the camera lens and see if there are cracks or dirt. You must remove any debris because the debris can lead to stains, or worse, functional damage. Also check the aircraft’s propeller. Are the blades bent? Do you see any chips or cracks anywhere? Like the battery that powers it, the actual machine is also sensitive to temperature. A drone is best stored in a cool place, at approximately 25 degrees Celsius. Also make sure that it is kept away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Put a label on the box It might already be clear to you now that a drone is such a fragile gadget. So that others will also be careful when handling the box that contains the gadget, put an appropriate label on it. Also, don’t put the drone in a place where other items will be stacked on it.
